Catch and Keep Fishing at the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery
- see all dates
Fish for trout on a daily stocked pond at the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery. Drop a line and see what hooks!
The hatchery offers trout fishing 10am-noon and 1-3pm except, on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Details: You must keep all fish you catch and you have to pay $4 for every fish you catch. You are allowed to keep the fish and take it home with you to it. You can rent equipment if you do not have your own. If you have your own, then you are allowed to use that.
Visitors to the Fish Hatchery can tour two aquarium buildings and eight outdoor ponds. The outdoor section consists of a fish hatchery that produces thousands of trout to be released into nearby bodies of water. Indoors, you can find the state's largest collection of native freshwater fish, reptiles and amphibians.
